April E. Strowbridge, Founder, and CEO, recognized a need throughout the service region in relation to substance abuse support services and supervised visits and established Safe Harbor in 2013. Strowbridge holds a master’s degree in human services from Liberty University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Shenandoah University. She and her leadership team possess more than 40 years of service in the mental health field as well extensive community involvement.
Substance Abuse Services
In most instances, children typically fare best when they have the emotional support and ongoing involvement of both parents. Continued parental engagement creates positive parent-child relationships and healthy emotional and social development.
Regardless of the challenges between parents, it is important​ to remember to put your child’s emotional well-being first. One of the keys to a successful parent-child relationship is the quality of time that you spend with your child and not the quantity.
